ABOUT US
ViViVi Studio is located by the beautiful seaside in Leith, Edinburgh. Founded by Japanese ceramicist Akiko Matsuda, the studio begins its journey in November 2024.
The name "ViViVi" comes from a Japanese onomatopoeia for
the sound of electric shock - symbolizing moments of inspiration discovery, and imagination!
ViViVi Studio creates homeware designed to bring joy and a touch of spice to everyday life. We strive to inspire "ViViVi" moments - those sparks of creativity and delight - in your daily routine. Through our workshops, we aim to inspire and unlock creativity through hands-on experiences for all.
What We Do
ViViVi Studio, founded in November 2024, is dedicated to providing high-quality pottery education in a warm, community-focused setting. We run intimate classes designed to create a safe and comfortable environment where guests can explore their creativity.
We also operate as a production pottery studio, creating ceramic works for our clients and designing unique, one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to their needs, always aiming to deliver something beyond their expectations.
In addition to our Kintsugi classes, we offer a repair service for broken ceramics, known as the "Pot Hospital."
This has become especially popular among clients who have cherished ceramic items with personal stories that they wish to preserve and restore for the future.
